
The United Kingdom was rated the third most popular “nation brand” in 2012, according to VisitBritain.org. That should not be terribly surprising when considering the United Kingdom’s tourism industry is worth a whopping £115.3 billion; that is approximately 186.7 billion U.S. dollars. In 2011, London alone attracted nearly 15 million international visitors only to top itself a year later when the 2012 Olympics were hosted in the historical city.
